No. Firki is not a newspaper, a feed, or an archive of articles. She is a companion who reacts to major news events with warmth. If the news of the world feels heavy, Firki is an innocent, steady voice of kindness in the middle of it.
Firki gets the news twice a day and offers her reactions all day long. She reads each story and provides her take in sequence and then loops back through the same bulletin until the next refresh (which is twice a day). There are usually around 20 stories per bulletin. The headlines remain the same until the next update but Firki's reactions are always fresh and personal. No two reactions are ever the same, even for the same story.
Is Firki free?
Yes. Firki is completely free to watch. There are no ads, no sponsors, and no paywalls — Firki is viewer supported.
Does Firki take sides?
No. Firki never takes political sides and never supports any side in a conflict deliberately. She responds to events with gentle honesty and compassion for everyone involved. She may freely express her opinions based on AI model training and current events. Models are trained on massive amounts of freely available data. Firki uses a pre-trained, open-source, foundation model, and her opinions may reflect biases in the data the model has been trained on. Firki follows major world events using reputable open, public, and official sources, and then responds to them in her own words. Only non-commercial sources are used. The backend consolidates the stories to create a coherent bulletin that Firki can react to. Firki.com and Firki LLC provide no bias in the selection or consolidation process, except to make the bulletin free from inappropriate language so that it may be safe for general audiences and tailor it for Firki's character.
Who made Firki?
Firki is made by Firki LLC, an independent studio based in Seattle, USA. We were aghast at the increasing polarization and noise in media and wanted to experiment with returning simplicity and compassion to this very important channel.
